Who is behind The Science Chef?
I grew up in the kitchen with my Papa (dad), and in his pizzeria! Food has always been my passion, and as I went through school, science became an additional passion. I went to college to become a biology/chemistry teacher, and taught at a local SUNY for a decade. I authored a study guide for a publisher and my own lab manual for the non-majors biology course, which was under my direct supervision for 8 years. During this time, I was recognized by SUNY with a Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in teaching. Teaching science has always been my professional passion, while cooking has been my personal passion. I wanted to combine my two passions into something that I’ve never had the chance to experience before outside of my home- and The Science Chef was born!
WHAT is The Science Chef?
The Science Chef is a new concept set of services! We are bringing two fun concepts together: science and food! For adults, we are also doing science and cooking with molecular gastronomy bites, layered density mocktails, and watching an edible smoke bubble top our mocktails. A fun and tasty way to learn how science really rocks our world (and really is a part of everything we do).
